Circle of Care Volunteers are available to help families of children with cancer at The Smilow Cancer Center at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital and the YNHCH outpatient clinic in Guilford.
Our volunteers are here to help you get through the long days of chemo treatment or the isolation of being in the hospital. They provide much-needed diversion in the form of an activity or craft, as well as weekly ice cream parties. Sometimes they are there simply to read a story, paint a little girl’s nails or lend a sympathetic ear.
End of Treatment is a very special time for patients and their families. To celebrate this significant milestone, Circle of Care volunteers bring balloons, cake and smiles for “End of Chemo” parties at YNHCH outpatient clinic in Guilford.
Our volunteers do not provide medical care, medical treatment, medical advice or psychotherapy, or interfere with the doctor/patient relationship in any way.
